Tokai Engineering was founded in 1993 with the singular vision to be the leading solution provider in the field of lightning and surge protection. The name Tokai was coined as it was Dato’ Ir. Jimmy’s hometown; a small, rustic town located in northern Peninsular Malaysia, in the state of Kedah.

Tokai started as a two-man operation offering specialized service and consultation in the earthing, lightning and surge protection industry. Since its inception, Tokai has grown from strength to strength, winning numerous projects that has graced the skyline of the nation. This is made possible through our unwavering focus to provide quality consultation with total integrated safety solutions that saves lives, assets and businesses. Today, our ever expanding list of clients include the Prime Minister’s Office & Department in Putrajaya, Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), various developments in Cyberjaya, KLCC Twin Towers, KL Tower, Sepang F1 Circuit, Bukit Jalil Sports Complex, Alor Setar Telecommunications Tower and many more.

Tokai also provides its quality service to the oil and gas, telecommunications, banking and transportation industry. Tokai is proud to have established clienteles that are household names such Philips, Celcom, Digi, Intel, Maybank and a number of petrol stations across the nation.  Tokai Group of Companies is a 100% Malaysian owned entity and quality service is always our prime concern. Tokai’s wealth of resources is of international standard and quality, backed by ISO accreditation and this is the leading factor of its continuous success.

Thank you for visiting our website. Over the years, Tokai has evolved from a humble 2 man trading company operating from a rented office lot above a coffeeshop in Bandar Sunway to what it is today. We are proud to be known as a safety and security solutions provider which is ahead of our time. I have come to realize that it is imperative that as a company we remain unified and integrated – I have found that the formula to be successful is by maintaining cohesion and unity at all levels by sharing a common purpose and core values.

What does this mean to our important constituencies: our team members, our customers, our communities and our shareholders? For our team members, we take pride in what we do and have the opportunity to grow in our jobs.
