TOKAI Strengthens Its Position in Critical Infrastructure Protection at ENGINEER 2026

Showcasing 33 Years of Malaysian Engineering Excellence Alongside International Technology Partners Wallis UK and Skytree Scientific

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA — 20 October 2026 — Tokai Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd (“TOKAI”), an established Malaysian engineering specialist in earthing, lightning protection and integrated infrastructure protection solutions, marked its participation at ENGINEER 2026, held from 22 to 25 September 2026 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).

The four-day exhibition provided TOKAI with a strategic platform to showcase its engineering capabilities, strengthen industry relationships and introduce advanced protection technologies to consulting engineers, developers, contractors and infrastructure stakeholders.

Celebrating 33 years of engineering excellence since its establishment in 1993, TOKAI’s participation reflected the company’s continued evolution from a specialist earthing and lightning protection provider into an integrated engineering solutions partner serving Malaysia’s expanding critical infrastructure sector.

Bringing Together Malaysian Expertise and International Innovation

A key highlight of TOKAI’s participation was its joint showcase with two international technology partners, Wallis UK and Skytree Scientific, bringing together complementary expertise in earthing and lightning protection engineering, advanced connection technologies and digital lightning risk assessment.

With an engineering heritage spanning more than 80 years, Wallis brings extensive experience in earthing and lightning protection components and connection technologies.

The collaboration highlighted the complementary strengths of TOKAI’s local engineering design, installation and project execution capabilities with Wallis’s established manufacturing and product expertise, including exothermic welding solutions.

Meanwhile, Skytree Scientific introduced LRAplus, a digital lightning risk assessment platform designed to support engineering professionals in evaluating lightning-related risks through a more structured, efficient and accessible assessment process.

The introduction of LRAplus attracted interest as the engineering industry increasingly embraces digital tools to improve technical analysis, engineering workflows and risk-informed decision-making.

Supporting Malaysia’s Growing Critical Infrastructure Sector

With Malaysia continuing to experience significant investments in hyperscale data centres, industrial developments and mission-critical infrastructure, demand for reliable electrical protection and infrastructure resilience has become increasingly important.

TOKAI’s exhibition showcase reflected its capabilities across earthing and lightning protection systems, surge protection, lightning warning systems and related engineered protection technologies.

Through its involvement in multiple hyperscale data centre projects and other major infrastructure developments, TOKAI continues to strengthen its expertise in providing engineering-led protection solutions where reliability, safety, technical compliance and operational continuity are paramount.

The company combines engineering design, technical assessment, installation, testing and commissioning capabilities to support increasingly complex project requirements.

Creating Opportunities for Industry Engagement and Collaboration

Throughout the exhibition, TOKAI’s representatives engaged with consulting engineers, developers, contractors, technical professionals and industry stakeholders to exchange perspectives on emerging protection technologies, evolving engineering requirements and opportunities for collaboration.

The event also provided an opportunity to demonstrate how the integration of local engineering expertise with international technology partnerships can deliver practical, technically robust solutions for the Malaysian and wider Southeast Asian markets.

Commenting on the participation, Tokai’s Dato’ Ir Jimmy Lim, said:

“Our participation at ENGINEER 2026 reflects TOKAI’s ongoing commitment to engineering excellence, innovation and meaningful industry collaboration. Over the past 33 years, we have built our foundation on technical competence, practical experience and long-term relationships with the engineering community.

As Malaysia’s infrastructure becomes increasingly sophisticated, particularly within the hyperscale data centre and critical infrastructure sectors, we recognise the importance of continuously advancing our capabilities and embracing new technologies.

Our collaboration with AN Wallis and Skytree Scientific represents this commitment. By combining TOKAI’s engineering expertise and local market knowledge with established international technologies, we aim to deliver greater value to our clients while contributing to safer and more resilient infrastructure.”

Continuing Engagement Beyond ENGINEER 2026

Building on the relationships and technical interest generated during the exhibition, TOKAI will continue engaging with industry professionals through technical discussions, product demonstrations and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

As part of these efforts, TOKAI, together with Skytree Scientific, will conduct an LRAplus technical webinar on 28 October 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. via Zoom.

The session is intended for consulting engineers and other industry stakeholders interested in understanding the application and benefits of digital lightning risk assessment.

TOKAI also looks forward to strengthening its collaboration with AN Wallis through ongoing technical exchanges, product engagement and business development initiatives.

Looking Ahead

TOKAI’s participation at ENGINEER 2026 reinforces its long-term commitment to supporting Malaysia’s engineering and infrastructure development through technical expertise, trusted partnerships and continuous innovation.

As the company advances into its next phase of growth, it remains focused on strengthening its position as an integrated engineering solutions provider for critical infrastructure, with an emphasis on engineering integrity, quality and sustainable business relationships.
