Project Summary
Project Scope:
To Supply and Deliver of 10 units ATG SP400 Automatic Bollards System.
Tokai successfully delivered the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of earthing and grounding systems for high-security vehicular mitigation infrastructure at the GDS Data Center, Johor Bahru.
The project primarily involved the earthing and bonding integration for critical perimeter security systems, including:
• Road Blocker Systems
• Automatic Rising Bollards
• Fixed Bollards
All systems were installed as part of the data Center’s vehicular hostile mitigation measures (VHMM) and were engineered to ensure electrical safety, equipotential bonding, and operational reliability under all fault and surge conditions.
Standards & Compliance:
• All road blockers, automatic bollards, and fixed bollards were designed and installed to comply with PAS 68 / IWA 14 impact resistance standards, ensuring certified performance against vehicle impact threats.
• The associated earthing and bonding systems were engineered and executed in accordance with MS IEC 62305 (Lightning Protection & Earthing), Relevant IEC earthing and bonding standards. Data Center and critical infrastructure safety requirements.
Engineering Highlights:
• Dedicated earthing networks provided for all security barriers to ensure:
• Effective dissipation of fault and surge currents
• Equipotential bonding between mechanical, electrical, and civil elements
• Protection of control panels, motors, and automation systems
• Integration of earthing systems with the overall site grounding grid, ensuring seamless compatibility with the data Center’s lightning protection and electrical safety systems
• Testing, verification, and commissioning carried out to confirm compliance, continuity, and earth resistance performance
